How to measure your child

Use a soft measuring tape over light clothing. Keep it level and comfortably close, without pulling tight. Record measurements in centimetres or inches.

Height: Measure barefoot from the top of the head to the floor.
Chest: Measure around the fullest part of the chest, under the arms.
Waist: Measure around the natural waist, without holding the breath.
Hips: Measure around the fullest part of the hips.

Checking garment length

Compare a similar garment that fits well. For dresses and coats, measure from the high shoulder point beside the neck to the hem. For skirts, measure from the top of the waistband to the hem. For asymmetrical styles, check both the shortest and longest hem.

Before choosing a size

Age bands are not garment measurements and do not guarantee a particular fit. Verified style-specific chest, waist, and garment-length measurements are not currently available.
